The last day of the month was spent doing empathy maps!
After our last group meeting we decide on the empathy maps for our 4 segments. After that it was necessary to find a good tool on the internet to make them more visual and interactive. We end up finding a website called Tuzzit and we finally have them ready. We also started to create the day in the life of our segments with the ultimate goal of creating four personas. During this process we had again doubts about which segments to target and also how we would differentiate them in a clear way. We end up deciding that is the purpose for hiring the service our main source of distinction between segments since we think that they can have different motivations to choose to use the Book a Chef platform. I hope you are enjoying this journey as much as we are! Stay tuned for more updates!

#Lessons Learned:
- It's very difficult to decide on customer segments characteristics and each one of us had a different idea for the same segment so we took some time setting our ideas and moving forward with the project;
- Revising our segments and creating the empathy maps helped us reformulating the business model canvas.

Changes and more changes!
We decided to make our first change in the business model canvas. After some group discussion we decide to function more as a platform that connects people looking for this kind of service with Chefs that aim to enlarge their customer base and to create awareness. Making this change made us modified some features like the revenue stream, key partners, value proposition and cost structure. We are still deciding on the best way to generate revenue since charging a fee for using the platform may be a downturn in the early stage of our business. We actualized the Canvas on the business model section of our blog and explained the main differences between the two. Now we also need to modify some of our hypothesis! Long working days are ahead of us!

#Lessons Learned:
- Every time the group has a new idea the business model suffers a change and also new hypothesis become important to be tested;
- The revenue model is one of the crucial components of our business model and requires a lot of thinking and discussion among the group;
- Is very useful to look on the internet for the business models of Airbnb and other collaborative platforms in order to gain insights and create ideas for our work.

Time to prepare for the next class!
The weekend is almost over and we need to prepare for next class. The task list is huge and the time seems to be not enough to do everything we need and want. This week we gave special attention to our business model and we made all the arrangements necessary yesterday. But revising the business model and changing some hypothesis made us be behind schedule and now we have a lot of work to do!!
Our task list for the day:
- We want to interview some people to have already some feedback about our idea and to contact some Chefs;
- We need to finish the personas;
- We need to create a power point presentation for Monday class explaining our work.

#Lessons Learned:
- We need to start working earlier in the week in the tasks for next class in order to have everything prepared by Saturday;
- Sometimes we can "loose" too much time on details and in group discussions;
- The creative side of some of the members are waking up!

We are ready!
After a long day preparing everything that we needed to finish we are now ready to show the work we developed during this week to the entire class. Today it was a marathon to end all that we wanted and to upload the documents into the blog. Individually each one delivered his/her tasks on time and we are now making the final adjustments and preparing a power point presentation to be presented in the Monday class. We are really proud of ourselves and of our effort as a team because we feel that we are truly committed to this project. Tomorrow is the beginning of another week of work and we still need to work on the validation of our hypothesis by making more interviews and surveys. Today we started to make some interviews but it's only the starting point!

#Lessons Learned:
- In the end all the hard work paid off because we have everything ready on time!;
- It's being more difficult than we thought to find chefs and to interview them for the validation of our hypothesis;
- It's important to have our blog daily updated in order to make everyone in the group aware of the other's works and tasks.
